Mr. Dan Derdeyn

Mr. Derdeyn has lived most of his life in the Oak Cliff area. He and his eight siblings all attended St. Cecilia. Mr. Derdeyn attended Bishop Dunne for high school and went to the University of Texas-Arlington, Mountain View, and the University of Dallas for college.

Prior to teaching, Mr. Derdeyn worked as a general contractor and remodeler for 20 years. He began teaching in Dallas ISD as a full time teacher 21 years ago. He has taught at both the elementary and middle school levels.

In the spring of 2019, Mr. Derdeyn retired from teaching in DISD. Mr. Derdeyn has taught RCIA courses at St. Cecilia for six years, and is thrilled to be teaching at the school he graduated from 50 years ago.

Mr. Derdeyn has four adult children and attends Mass on Sundays at St. Cecilia with several of his family members.
