Ms. Caroline Powledge

Ms. Powledge is originally from Fort Worth, Texas and attended Catholic school from Pre-K to 12th grade. She believes Catholic school is essential in educating the future “Saints and Scholars” that will lead our next generation. Ms. Powledge received her B.A. from Tarleton State University in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Special Education in May of 2018. This will be her third-year teaching at St. Cecilia, which she considers her second home. For this school year, she is focusing on providing the families ample educational and emotional support through in person and virtual learning.

Ms. Powledge will be teaching Kindergarten and 1st grade this year. She is excited for the challenge and ready to make this year safe and engaging for all of her students. Mental health is incredibly important to Ms. Powledge. She will be establishing opportunities for her students to have “mindful moments” of time as part of her education plan. This year, she will be incorporating meditation for her students to establish healthy mental practices while praying to our Lord and patron, St. Cecilia. Meditation and prayer are going to be part of the classroom’s daily routine so students have an outlet for stress relief during these challenging times and more opportunity to pray to God for inner peace.

Ms. Powledge is a dog lover. She has a Goldendoodle named Eloise and a mini Schnauzer named Harry. In her free time, she enjoys taking Eloise and Harry on walks, cooking, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
