An SCS Race Team is a new concept. This is a new athletic endeavor for a population and community, that in the past, has not been highly visible in the fitness and race community. The team's purpose is to represent the community of Oak Cliff and St. Cecilia School, but more importantly, to raise the kids to new levels and provide a dynamic opportunity for them to achieve. The race team generally consists of ~10 kids.  All our students are welcome to enter races but need to be prepared to pay their entry fees. The growth of this team will be dependant on our financial means as well as the success in achieving its purpose. To less the financial burden so more kids can enter the races...   Sponsors Wanted! Our goal is to secure a sponsor(s) that will be able to pick up the cost of entry fees for races as well as uniforms and transportation for the kids. Entry fees typically run $20 - $30 per racer/per event. Cost of the uniform will depend on the design that is decided on by the team and sponsor. Travel to the races is also a need. A van or large vehicle capable of transporting the team to and from races will be needed as coaches are not allowed to drive athletes and parent drivers are not always available. Consistency and safety are of utmost concern.
