I am so excited to be starting my 7th year teaching middle school math and science here at St. Cecilia Catholic School. It is truly my home-away-from-home.
I grew up here in Dallas, attending St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic School and Bishop Lynch High School. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics and Psychology from Kansas State University and started my career with a non-profit called Project SEED teaching advanced mathematics to elementary and middle school students throughout West and South Dallas. I made my move to the classroom in 1996 and taught 8th grade math for five years at Thomas Alva Edison Middle Learning Center in West Dallas. I finished my education requirements during my time at Edison from the University of Texas at Dallas. After taking time off for family, I returned to teaching, first as a substitute and now at SCS.
When I'm not teaching, I am home with my family. I have been married 23 years and am mom to six kids ages 10 to 14, including four 12-year-old surviving sextuplets.
